Design Philosophy
The design of the first collecton of Project Love by Ivanka shows ivanka’s love for animals.
The three animal designs are from endangered animals in indonesia being Komodo Dragon, Orang Utan and Tigers.
Ivanka wishes to raise awareness for these animals through her designs.
Iva
Iva is the name of the design for Komodo Dragon.
Komodo dragons only live in Indonesia. It mainly lives in Komodo National Park and the island of Flores.
The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) has classified komodo’s as endangered status. As Komodo Dragons onlu live in five island in Indonesia, the population is relatively small. Other issues contributing to the small numbers of komodo dragons are lack of egg laying females, habitat destruction, and human poaching.
Boby
Boby is the name of the design of Orang Utan
Orang Utan is also in IUCN status of endangered. There is a day that celebrates Orang Utan on 19 August. Orang Utan can now only be found in Sumatera, Indonesia. The small numbers of orang utan has been attributed to deforestation, destruction of their natural habitat and also human poaching
Lala
Lala is the name of the design of Sumatran Tiger
The Sumatran Tiger is also critically endangered with approximately only 400 tigers left living in the wild. Habitat loss, human poaching and human wildlife conflict has contributed to the endangered status of Sumatran Tigers.
